Hi! So you've stumbled upon my disaster...

I hate "About Me" sections because they are typically done to make the author seem wonderful with their lists of achievements, awards, and general awesomeness, but me... I'm a flaming dumpster fire of ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), to name a few. I don't have any lists of achievements worth mentioning. I've managed to make it to 40 in one piece. Sort of. I may have lost an organ or two along the way.

I was diagnosed with ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and CRPS as a young adult. Once diagnosed with each condition, I spent a great deal of time researching and studying them, in order to familiarize myself with them and get a better idea of how they disrupt my life and how I could manage them. For the first two, medication, and behavioral and cognitive therapies. For the CRPS... that's a longer story. All three will get explored in this blog.

 

My formal education is in English, with a creative writing focus. I currently have two novels in progress, though neither are near completion yet. (Thanks ADHD.) I love to read everything, from epic literary and fiction tomes and series to manga/comics to nonfiction to cereal boxes when there's nothing else available. (Hey, nutrition is important!)

My free time is dominated with reading, writing, costuming and cosplaying, sometimes acting and directing, and hanging out with my family and friends. My day job is that of legal assistant, though I would much rather discuss literary analysis, film reviews, and my cat. My void cat is exceptionally cute and sweet. He is, in fact, just exceptional in general.
